There will be many more ahead! It’s hard to believe, but this month marks our 3rd year Anniversary at East Lake Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles. We hope that you have enjoyed reading our publication as much as we enjoy putting it together for you and we plan on being around indefinitely!
When we branched out three years ago from Trinity Area Neighborhood News, many of our advertisers in Trinity were excited to branch out with us. We are so thankful to all of our advertisers for their trust in us and we now have even more businesses who have chosen to advertise in not only the East Lake and Trinity publications, but also in the newest sister paper, Neighborhood News & Lifestyles that delivers to homes and businesses in Land O’ Lakes, Lutz and Odessa. It has been such a pleasure to help our local businesses grow and succeed as we grow right alongside them. You may have noticed that we have a beautiful new logo, Neighborhood News & Lifestyles, created by our good friend Catherine Gilbert from Logo Dynamo. We love the new look!I would be remiss if I didn’t send out a BIG THANK YOU to our writers, who are all talented, conscientious and dedicated to showcasing the unique businesses that serve you. Deadline time can be very stressful and sometimes we have to get a story written at the last hour. I know that I can depend on our writers to meet our advertisers and type up a story that will not only be interesting to read but that will help our area businesses grow. Sometimes that means working all night! In fact, as I write this I hope Julie Kanehl is getting some rest today, because I called her with a new story right before press time and she nailed it!
So, to Julie and Dara Tucker (our mommies who are each expecting a new little addition to their precious families), our new bride Alexis Heymann Selby (who was an even more beautiful bride than Princess Kate!), my amazing daughter Katie Thomas (who is pursuing her dreams at USF in St. Petersburg), our newest writer Amy Paterson (who has brought humor and a talented new voice to the newsmagazine), and my dear friend and talented writer Kathryn Samaltanos, who will be moving this summer to gorgeous Durango, Colorado with her sweet little boy Phoenix (we’re going to miss you!)—I love you all and could not do this without you!
